Lamentations 3:22-24 says, "Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, 'The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.'"
Jonathan and Jacob were part of this year's "See You At The Pole" celebration at their school. I took these pictures at around 7 am. Jonathan said by 7:30am, the circle was huge. What a blessing to offer public prayer to the LORD!
Jacob and Jonathan were excited to start a new school year at a school they attended the previous year! It doesn't happen very often for military kids. They began their 2nd year at Calvary Christian Academy. Jonathan is now in the 8th grade and Jacob is in the 6th grade. Two middle-schoolers! Wow! The time has flown by for us. The school moved into a beautiful new building with amazing views of the Sandia Mountains. I'll have to take some pictures and post them. The facility was previously owned by Blue Cross Blue Shield. 
We secured the community center in base housing for the troop's annual planning session. It was a fun evening. The boys planned all the activities for the scouting year. We will be busy with campouts, caving trips, backpacking trips, service projects and other fun activities. It was good to see how the boys are developing strong leadership skills. We are thankful for a great troop of boys and parents. Troop 85 rocks!
My position as Assistant Training Coordinator for PWOCI has filled my time with great ways to serve the ministry. When I needed extra help recently to complete the surveys from our W.I.L.D. training (which stands for Women Intent on Leadership Development), David and Jonathan offered to assist. I also had help from my friends Andrea and Christine (I forgot to take pictures of them earlier in the week). With their help, we were able to process the evaluations from trainings held all over the world. Thank you!!!
