David was scheduled to return from deployment on Sunday, July 18th at 9pm. All his flights had been on schedule (which is miraculous!) until the last flight. He was circling Albuquerque in preparation to land when the weather caused the pilot to turn around and return to Phoenix. There was a crowd of over 50 people waiting to welcome him home - chapel family, base leadership, Blue Star Moms, and other friends. We were disappointed to leave the airport without him. David eventually returned home at 4am unceremoniously!
