Kia Has a Bad Day

We took Kia for her first grooming in Albuquerque. Not only did Petsmart shave her (we never knew she was so tiny!), we had to take her to the vet after the groomer "nicked" her leg. The "nick," as the groomer described, led to two staples and ten days of antibiotics. Thankfully, Petsmart paid the vet bill. We know she will be back to her normal fluffy self in a few weeks!

The bottom picture is what Kia looked like after a visit to the groomer in Japan. I didn't know how fortunate we were to have such a great groomer!

Our New Home

This is our new home on Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We have been blessed with a very comfortable place to call home. Our backyard has a beautiful porch and a large grassy area.

Here are a couple of our neighbors! The rabbits are everywhere in our neighborhood.

Kia is Happily Settled in New Mexico

Kia is glad to be settled again after her long car trip from Texas to New Mexico. She was a great traveling companion for Angel. In these pictures, Kia is "helping" Jacob get his room organized.

First Day of School in Albuquerque

Jonathan and Jacob smile for their first day of school at Calvary Christian Academy. Jonathan began 7th grade and Jacob started 5th grade. Kia likes riding to school everyday with us. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to school.

Baseball in Albuquerque

The boys started baseball right away in Albuquerque playing in the Mile High Little League. Jonathan (#7) is playing for the Cougars in the Junior Division. The fall league includes players from ages 12 to 16. As you can imagine, the others boys are giants compared to Jonathan. They gave him the nickname, "Big Tex." Jacob also earned a new nickname of "Texas Tornado" on his new team, the Titans. I guess nicknames are big in New Mexico. Jacob's team includes 10 and 11 year olds. As you can see, the Sandia Mountains are beautiful in Albuquerque.

Visit to Georgia

David, Jonathan and Jacob took a trip to Georgia to see family after David's graduation. Angel and Kia drove to Kirtland AFB to unpack boxes and set up their new home. The first picture is of all the Mansberger Men! David, his dad and his brother Mike are in the back row. The second picture is of Uncle Mike, Jonathan, Kellie, Jacob, and Aunt Dorann. They had a great trip that included fishing and going to an Atlanta Braves game.
