Jacob's Swimming Merit Badge

Jacob earned his first Eagle required merit badge - Swimming! Several scouts met at the base pool to complete all the lifesaving, rescuing, and swimming requirements. It's not easy to complete this badge. I was tired just watching!

A Christmas Carol Train Tour

We had a fun evening visiting Disney's traveling "A Christmas Carol Train Tour." The movie will come out in November. This train is traveling around the country promoting the movie. It's great marketing! We went with two other families - the Burger's and the Solheim's. It was a lot of fun.

Vacation Bible School - Crocodile Dock

Vacation Bible was a family affair as we spent the week in the Bayou at Crocodile Dock! It was a bunch of fun for all of us.

Building the VBS Bayou Shack

Angel bought the bayou shack supplies at Home Depot and managed to get them home without losing any! The security guards got quite a laugh when I came through the base gates.

David was thrilled to use the power tools to cut the shack into shape! Every helped and we were all covered in styrofoam pieces.

Painting was the most fun. Jacob liked sponge painting the best. I think I will put him to work next time we paint any walls in our house!

The final product was awesome to see in the sanctuary! The kids and adults thought the shack was cool!
