Baseball in Albuquerque

The boys started baseball right away in Albuquerque playing in the Mile High Little League. Jonathan (#7) is playing for the Cougars in the Junior Division. The fall league includes players from ages 12 to 16. As you can imagine, the others boys are giants compared to Jonathan. They gave him the nickname, "Big Tex." Jacob also earned a new nickname of "Texas Tornado" on his new team, the Titans. I guess nicknames are big in New Mexico. Jacob's team includes 10 and 11 year olds. As you can see, the Sandia Mountains are beautiful in Albuquerque.

Visit to Georgia

David, Jonathan and Jacob took a trip to Georgia to see family after David's graduation. Angel and Kia drove to Kirtland AFB to unpack boxes and set up their new home. The first picture is of all the Mansberger Men! David, his dad and his brother Mike are in the back row. The second picture is of Uncle Mike, Jonathan, Kellie, Jacob, and Aunt Dorann. They had a great trip that included fishing and going to an Atlanta Braves game.

Dallas Trip

After Jonathan's tournament was over, we spent a few days in Dallas visiting our friends, Barry and Melanie Johnson. Barry was in Dallas beginning his training with Southwest Airlines. We went to a Texas Rangers game and the Dallas Zoo. It was a sweltering week in Dallas with temperatures over 105 degrees every day.

Jonathan Plays in the Texas State Baseball Tournament

The Thunder made a great effort in the Texas State Baseball Tournament. Although they didn't win, they experienced an amazing comeback victory in their second game. The team rallied from a 12-5 deficit to win the game 12-13 in the last inning! It was a victory no one there will soon forget.

Coach Rob presents a medal to Jonathan after the tournament is over.

Coach Rob decorated his van with all the team members for the three hour trip to Eastland, Texas.

Jacob's District Tournament

Jacob's team participated in the Senior Midget Competitive League District Tournament. Jacob pitched and played shortstop and second base. He had some great hits, but it wasn't enough for victory. It was a fun season for the Red Wings.
